| Opportunity
We were tasked with crafting a multisensory experience emphasizing the sense of taste.
| Outcome
We developed an interactive arcade machine prompting users to navigate through a sequence of inquiries, culminating in a reward, fostering introspection on the concepts of discerning taste.
Does the notion of good taste truly exist?
Behold Bon Appétit—a striking pink console adorned with a vibrant kaleidoscopic motif, accentuated by pristine white detailing.
Why do we insist on dichotomizing our sense of style and taste into rigid categories of good versus bad? If our stylistic inclinations were subject to quantification and classification, what insights would they offer about our identities? The term "taste" embodies a homographic nature, denoting not only an individual's predilections for particular aesthetics and genres but also their palate preferences.
Bon Appétit offers an enchanting multisensory journey, seamlessly integrating visual, tactile, auditory, and gustatory elements to blur the boundaries between these two facets of taste perception, thereby illuminating novel perspectives on the significance of our preferences.
